ckparis and 1920 art deco french purse

hey all, how are you?
these pix are of the vintage 1920's art deco french purse i got in gavilane paris
in the marais.
the bag is made of suede and is an amazing distressed eggplant brown. it may have been originally dyed black and years of age and use have created this
distressed purple/brown color.
aden told me he replaced the stones in the clasp and added a brass chain.
the original suede strap is still in tact.

ckparis and interview with aden of gavilane paris

bonjour.
i went to visit Gavilane in the marais last month in paris.
Gavilane is a wickedly wonderful place to check out on your next sojourn to paris.
the proprietor, aden, was in the shop and helped me pick out a fabulous
tete de mort necklace/belt/whatever from his recent collection.
if you are fascinated by the gothic, mysterious, dark,
this is the place to shop.
the music playing in Gavilane went perfectly with the jewelry, designs and clothing.
d. noticed a CD cover with a guy that looked like a dead ringer for the guy in the store who was helping me.
aden confirmed that it was his pix on the CD cover and he was the one singing.

the following is my Q & A interview with aden.

Q: bon jour aden, how long has gavilane been in the marais?
A: 12 years

Q: what was your inspiration for creating Gavilane?
A: We love creation, and we have been making custom jewellery for 22 years.

Q: what is your favorite medium to work with?
A: we don't follow trends and we keep classic inspiration through vanity and
decadent accessories.

Q: when is your studio CD coming out?
A: i hope in febuary, we will mention on gavilane.com and aden music.fr .

Q: what is your most cherished possession?
A: my cherished possession is to possess nothing.

Q: what is your favorite color?
A: black

Q: when is your birthday?
A: december 7
Q: i think you can pass for a scorpio imo.

Q: tell me something most people do not know about you:
A: you know, I spend my time to work since a very long time
and actually I dream music, sometime I believe cause all my life
is writing and I live in my world (monde) dans l'inconscience.
the only difference is today I know I can die and my personal life is more
and more complicated.
I hope to have enough time.

Q: i understand living dans l'inconscience. i spend a lot of time on the
astral plane, the fourth dimension.
does that make sense to you?
A: inconscience: to be strong and for protection of life
avec l'inconsciene on avance sans se poser de questions.

hey all, how are you?
moi?
hanging out in my running stairs gear.
american apparel bra, random cut off sweats and my
new itsumi pearl sneakers.
love them.
i run lots of high rise stairs in these.

if you are a new reader, i run/walk a 46 story high rise 3 or 4 times per session.
that's about 138 -184 stories of high rise stairs.
anyone who is skeptical is invited to come with.
and
it's much cheaper then long term shrink visits.

hey kids,
this is the most unedited childlike side of my personality.
zillion dollar chauss smile.

this mini vlog was taken the first night i arrived in paris in front of my favorite choclate store window to gaze at in a mesmerized state.

you can see my literally jumping up and down bc:
1. i was in paris again finally!!!
2. it was about 30 degrees and i am a chick from constant nonstop tropical balmy weather
3. i am standing in front of freakin' chocolate waterfall, and this is the real deal
on the third dimension, no astral plane needed here
4. did i say, i am in paris!!!

p.s. i am so mesmerized by this window that i actually stared into it once long enough to see the chocolate store's owner descend down the staircase in her nightgown and robe to grab a piece of chocolate and scurry back upstairs.
true story.
really.

how many people stare into a chocolate store window on the rue st honore when it is closed at 10:00 pm?

ckparis and gavilane paris skull necklace

hello boys and girls,
i am back from paris.
ahhhhhhhhhhh.

and yes, philippe, it did snow in paris!
the first snow of the year.
i did a mini vlog and will post it soon.

i am wearing my gavilane tete de mort necklace with brass chains,
the claps look like mini hand cuffs and the piece can be worn numerous ways
by changing the length and placement of the clasps.
the tete de mort has a crown above its head.
