hey readers. what are you all doing? i am trying to get a couple of cocktail outfits put together for the weekend. the theme seems to be vintage little black dresses and maybe a real vintage herve leger (pre bcbg!) little brown dress.
i did get a fabulous new helene zubeldia necklace (love her stuff!!!) this week which will be a great addition to one or two of these outfits...i will post pix of the necklace next week. it has crystals on a leather cord that can be worn long or short or somewhere in between...
and you know what, i dont have to worry about the shoes... i am thinking loub. loub mads or loub black patent very prives or maybe ysl black patent tributes. ok guys, you get the drift..

exercise is an attitude adjuster, really. up there with pom margs, chocolate,cupcakes and caffeine. ok... not as great as finding THE perfect shoes or jacket....

hey readers. sometimes the stars just align and everything works. know what i mean? i found this vintage lbd today at my favorite vintage store. i have not been in a while and the prices have gone sky high because it has gotten a lot of publicity and celebrity visits. ( my personal encounters at the store are stories for another time...)
anyway, this dress has illusion panels on the front and back in black mesh. super cute. i wore it with my favorite marc jacob black booties. i am having fun today. hope you all are too.

anonymous, my starbucks drug of choice is a grande bone dry soy cap. i like the caffeineated foam. :) sort of like an extra rush after you finish the espresso part when you eat the foam with a spoon. do i sound like a junkie or what?

hey readers. let me set up the pix frame for you. i was wearing my burberrry black lizard ankle straps while shopping yesterday.
d. caught this woman staring at my shoes and caught it on camera. you can see my arm with my usual braclets and hermes kelly dog bracelet. the random woman shopper is staring down at my sandals. and if you look in the background, the male sales associate is watching the whole thing.
d. says this happens all the time so we tried to document it. you know what i mean?

me with my new burberry runway black lizard platforms. they wore these with black ankle socks in the show with multiple outfits. what brand of ankle socks to you like with sandals? i think i would like to try some semi-opaque ones.

my favorite inside out gray shirt still...i added a barette to my hair. low pixel cell phone pix, but you get the drift.

good morning readers. don't you love when you find a fabulous piece of clothing that just works? and the best part is, you already own it!!! not being anal about the organization of my wardrobe, i sometimes find fantastic pieces that i have totally forgotten about which have become tucked and smooshed in the back corner of some box or drawer...
in a frantic search to locate another long sleeve black yohji shirt, i stumbled on this rick owens piece from his trucker '03 collection which i think i bought years ago in paris. it is a rayon/cashmere with a veritical seam down the back in typical rick owens fashion. (hhmmm, where did the row get that idea?)
and the best part, the temperature here actually was in the 50's for about 45 seconds the other morning... perfect unexpected shirt for the perfect unexpected weather. ahhh,don't you love when the universe provides?
now, about those burberry black lizard platforms....

hey gang, i think i need to check into shoe buying rehab. the problem is, the clients will all be like me, and we will trade names and numbers of sales associates all over the globe who would be happy to indulge us with the latest shoe fix..i really get such a rush buying new shoes... can you relate?
anyway, here is a quick cell phone pix of my latest. i will post better pix and more info later. i kinda like how the light twinkles around them in this pix. it creates a nice aura.

good evening readers. i hope you are all having a fabulous weekend. i have on my loub black suede thigh highs and a vintage chanel patent bag. i will have to take some more pix of the bag because it is really cool.
anyway, you have no idea how difficult it is to get a cupcake here. where is a sprinkles when you need one?
an internet search via blackberry while driving in the car revealed 2 sources. the first source told me they only did special orders and needed 3 days notice. i even asked if they had any extras today bc i was in their vincinty. answer: no.
the second source turned out to have a "for rent" sign in the window. i called their number and got armando's voice mail.
still cupcakeless, i settled for frozen yogurt at a place called "red kiwi". yup, a knock off of 'pink berry". however, lloyd did stamp my buy 10, get one free card 3 times. (ah, and i really prefer angelina's...)

in addition to the usual hermes and chanel bags, the women shoppers in the know had some vintage bal moto bags when the leather was still smoooshy and delicious. i saw an '03 lavender city today,i will post of a pix of mine in a minute, and a couple of flat brass firsts.
i was really obsessed by the shoes. the webster has a wonderful collection of alaia, balenciaga, and pierre hardy shoes. i think a pair of alaia platforms are calling my name...

hey readers, a low pixel example of the one of the many forms white light can take...if you are feeling insecure, depressed, afraid or sad, surround yourself with some form of it. i still like to outline my bed with white light so i don't have bad dreams... although, i have been busy traveling at night...
if you are reaaaaaallllly tired, tell your guides you want to stay in your bed tonight because you are exhausted and need a night to really rest and not to play. they will respect your wishes.

hello readers. ok, before i get distracted, let's talk about grounding. if you are having a hard time, or need to center yourself, try this.
imagine you have little branches growing out of the bottom of your feet. (it's ok to visualize this thru your shoes, grow those branches right out of your stilettos or favorite rick owens sneakers)
picture the branches getting thicker and thicker and longer and longer... let them expand right through the floor, through the bottom of where ever you may be and continue on throught the actual layers of the earth, all the way to the molten center. you are now grounded.
you are now ready to experience and focus your complete energy resources into whatever project you have been putting off for whatever reason. got it?
students, try this before a serious cramming session, you might like it.
this technique can work brilliantly for those who easily get distracted from the task at hand. and if you win the pulitzer for the best writing, etc., please remember to thank me for the motivational tip in your acceptance speech.

rick owens moto jacket has arrived

hey kids, here is a quick pix of the rick owens leather moto jacket that just arrived from italy. it is very thin and smoooshy black leather with a gorgeous espresso lining.
not sure about the ft for me.... it is ok, but i like the fit on my other ro jackets just a bit better..... thought, please??? this was the smallest size.

Q where did you get the fedora and what is the make?
A I actually bought this at Urban Outfitters; the color combination of dark blue and black was what caught my eye. I'm not sure of the brand.... probably some company in cahoots with UO I presume.


Q how would you describe your fashion style?
A 1/3 cup rock-and-roll, 1/3 cup bohemian,1/3 cup pure luxury
For example: Rick Owens leather jacket paired with a turquoise and silver ring, Balenciaga leather messenger bag, and skinny jeans (April 77s are my favorites)


Q what would you like to see in my blog?
A Chauss, I can never get enough of your funny stories, so I would love to hear more!! The motivational and spiritual advice always puts a smile on my face.

good evening readers. hope you all had an interesting day. tonight is about alternative vehicles... the first pix is a very well dressed boy who was spotted cruising aroung the island in his big wheels. i think he maybe a future tfser... really bs, i think you've got some competition as to who will be the youngest member.
the other pix is my head photoshopped on a high heel stiletto with wheels. hmmmmm.

being a typical chauss, i zoned out to the 4th dimension in an 8 story parking garage and this guy in a sports car with the convertible top down offered to help me find my lost car by riding up and down the levels. and you know, i was wearing stilettos....
anyway, we located my car, exchanged cards and the next day i had this photo in my email. i guess i mentioned i had a thing for fabulous shoes. true story.
